Day 1: Welcome to the Summer Culinary Atelier! Meeting new people and making new friends! 5 days of adventure ahead of us! We’re excited!
Day 1: Cooking, cooking, cooking in the studio of the Culinary Atelier!

Day 1: Naia Gelateria, where we tasted 44 gelatos! Yes, 44!
Day 1: Naia Gelateria. Thank you Jesse! It was a perfect way to end our fabulous first day of the Summer Culinary Atelier!
Day 2: Tcho Chocolate Factory San Francisco. Lookin fly in our hairnets before the tour.
Day 2: We learned so much about WHAT, WHERE, WHEN & HOW of TCHO Chocolate! It’s the ONLY chocolate MADE in SF. The BEST!

Day 2: Hungry for pizza at Pizzeria Delfina in SF Mission.

At Delfina, we got a private tour from Chef Chris!
Chef Chris showed us where they cure meats and store varieties of olive oils!
We got to go into the walk in refrigerators!
We got to see the behind the scenes of one of the top restaurants in SF! Thank you Chef Chris and GM Mike for your generosity!
After our lunch at Delfina, we went to Tartine Bakery and then across the street to Bi-Rite Creamery for ice cream! What an awesome day!!!
Day 3: Private Tour & Tasting at Lotties Creamery Broadway Plaza Walnut Creek!
Owner Deb, explained to us how she made Lotties happen!
We went behind the scenes as Deb showed us all her specialized equipment that help her do her ice cream magic! We even went into the the freezer!
We got to taste all her delicious creations, from the only micro creamery in the East Bay!
There’s even ice cream sandwiches!

Day 3: Rodgers Ranch Urban Teaching Farm in Pleasant Hill.
Our hosts Marion & John showed us what was growing and how to harvest!
Learning where our food comes from. Vegetables, herbs, bees and more at Rodgers Ranch Urban Farm!

Make & Bake our own pizzas on the farm!
Making farm fresh artisan pizza creations. We made the pizza dough, and toppings from farmers market or harvested ourselves!
Food tastes so good after working on the farm!
Tommy the teen beekeeper gave us a Bee Talk! We learned so much about a Bee’s life. Thanks so much Tommy! We really appreciate your time and knowledge!
After the Farm, we returned to the Atelier to cook, cook, cook!

Day 4: We went to La Cucina in SF. This is the only “Incubator kitchen” in SF. They assist people with starting up their own food business. Olive of Saint & Olive spoke to us about how she got her start! She’s a professional hair stylist who is on a path to becoming known for her delicious Biscotti!
Olive let us taste several types of biscotti and she even gave us a generous gift bag with various flavors of her biscotti! Thank you Olive, we really were INSPIRED by your story!
La Cucina mentors and supports their members from the cooking aspect to the marketing and financing. Olive showed us her new packaging!

Brent is the kitchen manager and he gave us a behind the scenes tour of the process of what the vendor (members) need to do in order to cook there!
There was a lot happening in that kitchen. Apparently there were two tamale companies working directly across from each other…Wow!
La Cucina makes so many members dreams come true! They have opened their own restaurants, food trucks and sell their food in the grocery store. Thank you Brent for the educating talk & tour!
Day 4: We went to the famous Tonys Pizza Napoletana!
We ordered 3 pizzas!!

The famous Margherita pizza. Tonys only makes 73 per day! We got one!
If you like SPICY this this COAL Fired New Yorker will be the one for you! We also go a Detroit style deep dish pizza!

Day 5: Our LAST excursion was a private tour and lunch at Google headquarters in Mountain View!
Day 5: Here we are! Let the FUN begin!
In the lobby of one of the main office buildings on the Google campus. Oh, there’s laptops that you can use while you wait! Nice!
Shawna is a chef at Google who arranged for our wonderful time. She personally showed us around the Google campus.
Our first stop was to SLICE! A smoothie shop at Google!

We met a lot of people including this chef who’s husband is also a chef at Google. They LOVE working at Google!
Next stop was one of the largest cafes on campus. At Google, all the food is free for the employees.
There is food every 150 feet from where an Google employee works!

There is every cuisine you can imagine! Sushi, Street Food, Diner, BBQ, Salad Bar, Burritos…you name it!
We peeked into the bake shop that makes desserts only….that’s all they do…for the Google peeps!
This conveyor belt is where you drop off you dirty dishes and it takes it on a trip!
